Adzuki beans are rich in  fiber, protein, complex carbs and beneficial plant compounds. They can contain over 29 different types of antioxidants that guards against disease and ageing, reduce gut inflammation.

Because adzuki beans are particularly rich in soluble fiber and resistant starch, they are a great source of prebiotics that can improve your gut health. These fibers pass through your gut undigested until they reach the colon, where they serve as food for your good gut bacteria. 

However, like all beans, adzuki beans contain phytic acid (antinutrient) that can interfere with the absorption of the nutrients from the beans itself or/and subsequent meals.

We bring the nutrient level and digestibility of adzuki beans to a whole new level through fermenting them with our organic kefir whey (whey-fermentation). Through the fermentation, phytic acid from the beans are removed significantly.
